Pardon our mess: Construction and access to the museum

The Kansas Union plaza is under construction this summer. During this time, parking is available at the Mississippi Street Parking Garage, one block north of the museum and adjacent to the Kansas Union, and can be accessed via 13th Street and Oread Ave. To reach the museum on foot, exit the garage onto Oread Avenue and cross the street to walk south past the Union and the Museum. At the south end of the construction, near 14th Street, you may access the museum by crossing the street. In other words, we suggest walking on the east side of Jayhawk Boulevard for the one block between the garage and the museum. We will be open with regular hours throughout the construction. It is possible to drop off museum visitors just past the museum, near 14th Street and Jayhawk Boulevard.
